Nandalal Bose (1882–1966) was a central figure in modern Indian art and a key disciple of Abanindranath Tagore. He was instrumental in shaping the Santiniketan style, blending Indian traditions with modern sensibilities. His works often depicted mythology, rural life, and nationalist themes, making him one of India’s most respected artists.
